July Update

Dear Wisewirx Media Friends:

This is Tim Wise. I haven’t posted any updates for a while, but that doesn’t mean nothing has been happening. I’ve been working on a degree in my spare time for about ten years. I tried to write and study at the same time (and did finish two books and parts of others), but a person only has so much RAM, and it slowed me down a lot. I finally graduated from New Orleans Baptist in May. After that, I did everything I could to revitalize so I could hit the writing again.  I went to South Carolina to my cousin’s graduation and did some salt water fishing (I’ll post a picture) while I was down there. Then I went to a writer’s conference at Ridgecrest outside of Asheville, North Carolina and got some great advice and inspiration there. I also spent a day with my aunt and uncle who have a cabin on the side of a mountain among the bears and rattlesnakes.  (It’s actually a very nice three-story log house, but the part about bears and rattlesnakes is true.) A couple of weeks later, I went to Disney World with a friend. I was fired up for a while, and managed to get Intrepid Force III to over 60,000 words. The whole book should be a little over 80,000. My goal was to finish a draft by the end of the summer, but now the heat has slowed down my brain, and I’m really having to push to get any writing done. I’ve got other projects in line behind this one, so I hope the old brain comes back pretty quick. Thanks to those of you who have checked my website and Facebook page faithfully!
